As previously claimed, the smartphone will have a 5-inch 441 ppi display coated in Gorilla Glass 3 for strong protection.
Inside, there is a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, plus micro SD support for up to 128GB of extra storage.
Using the Windows Phone 8.1 Update means the device will come with new digital assistant Cortana, on top of new features such as Action Centre, Apps Corner and Live Tiles.
"The HTC One (M8) for Windows is true to the flagship product's award-winning design and unique experience while also taking the best of what Windows Phone has to offer," said Microsoft's corporate vice president of engineering Darren Laybourn.
"We succeeded in offering customers the best of both our worlds with this phone."
The smartphone's specs also boast a 2,600mAh battery, an UltraPixel camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
HTC BoomSound speakers and BlinkFeed are on board, in addition to support for HTC's popular Dot View case.
The company is yet to confirm if and when the HTC One (M8) for Windows Phone will be made available in the UK and other countries.
