MH17 crash made into a game

'MH17 Stikes Back' was released on Google Play on 17 July.

It depicts a commercial airliner flying through a smoking landscape as the sky is criss-crossed with missiles and rockets. The aim of the game is to avoid the missiles and return fire on the attackers.

The developers of the Android game "Transporter Plane Shoot Back" had renamed the game and changed it to "MH17 Strikes Back", following the tragic crash of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 in Ukraine on Thursday.
The change in name came less than 24 hours of the crash, which left all passengers and crew aboard dead.

The morbid game shows a commercial airliner trying to avoid missiles while trying to shoot down enemy jet fighters.
The game only ends when the plane crashes. Transporter Plane Shoot Back is free, but is advertisement supported and it seems the developers temporarily changed the name of the game to drum up its download volume and therefore, the ad revenue.
While the game has been renamed back to its original title, part of the Google Play link still shows it as "id=mh17.airplanesimulator.flightsim.simulator3d".
